The Business Impact Dashboard helps you track and visualise the real-world impact of your campaigns, turning ideas into measurable results. This dashboard is configurable, allowing admins and campaign managers to select the key metrics that matter most to your organisation, while idea managers can view the dashboard as it’s set up.
It’s perfect for campaigns focused on driving tangible outcomes, whether that’s cost savings, time efficiencies, revenue generation, or sustainability goals. Whether you’re improving processes, launching new products, or working on environmental initiatives, the Business Impact Dashboard provides a clear and easy way to measure and view success.
Why is this important? By measuring impact, you can easily demonstrate the value of your ideas and the ROI of your efforts. It connects the time and energy invested by your team with the tangible benefits delivered to your organisation, which also makes it easy to show the impact of your programme to the leadership team.
1. Overview
The Overview section provides an at-a-glance summary of the most impactful metrics related to your idea programme. It highlights the metrics that matter most, such as cost savings, revenue generated, and projected impact.
Admin-configured view: Admins and campaign managers set up the metrics to track and visualise, and all other users, including idea managers and owners, view the configured metrics.
Configured Metrics:
Metrics are calculated using selected numerical custom fields, with methods like sum or average, and filters applied (e.g., implemented ideas only). Examples: Cost saved from implemented ideas, projected revenue to be delivered, potential time savings etc.
Relevant custom fields must be populated in ideas to ensure accurate metrics.
Admins can configure up to 5 metrics, choosing what’s most important to visualise.
If no metric is configured, all users will see a "Not Set" value in place of the metrics.
Real-Time Updates: Metrics update in real-time whenever a corresponding custom field value is entered or updated.
Note: For more detailed guidance on configuring metrics, please refer to our Configuring Metrics Article.
2. Idea Delivery
The Idea Delivery section tracks the speed and value of delivered ideas. This section will provide insights into how many ideas have been delivered, their associated value, and the time it took to deliver them. By tracking these elements, you'll be able to see how quickly your ideas are turning into tangible outcomes.
You can find more details about this section in the dedicated article.
3. Pipeline Potential Value (Coming Soon)
This Pipeline Potential Value section focuses on open ideas that haven’t yet been delivered—the untapped potential in your pipeline. It estimates the business value that could be unlocked if these ideas were implemented, helping you understand the opportunity cost of inaction.
4. Non-financial Value (Coming Soon)
The Non-financial Value section will allow you to track impacts that go beyond measurable metrics from better experiences to stronger services.
